HEADACHES | 15 Aug 2011

I was experiencing headaches and other worrying symptoms. My Dr. scheduled an MRI of the brain in case of a brain tumour. I was extremely scared and worried.

I came to the Healing Rooms and received prayer. I was anointed with oil and healing in the Name of Jesus was claimed.

My MRI of the brain was clear!!

Praise God! He alone is my hope and strength. He is my healer!!

My right shoulder has been in pain for a couple of years. I felt to come to the Healing Rooms for prayer and God healed me. No more pain!

First, I had to repent of sins and let the meditation of my heart be pleasing to Him. God keep me holy and blameless to the end. Praise – Praise – Praise Jesus Christ!!

I had severe kidney pain. I was drinking so much water and still was thirsty. I came to the Healing Rooms about 4 weeks ago and got 2 lots of prayer. Immediately the pain got better and over 3 days it was completely healed and is still better one month on!

PRE-CANCEROUS MELANOMA CELLS | 26 Jul 2011

I prayed for my husband at the Healing Rooms to cover the surgery for pre-cancerous melanoma cells discovered in a biopsy of skin from his shoulder. The pathology, after removal, showed that there were in fact 3 melanomas present and the doctor had removed them all. He had further surgery to remove a wider margin of skin at the edges. He is clear of the cancer and I thank the Healing Rooms for their prayers that everything would be taken that needed to be and that the doctor would have wisdom and skill. Thank you God for healing my husband and for answering my prayer!

Nervous Breakdown | April 5

I have tried all my life to be good and failed many times. About four months ago after quite a few difficulties and about 14 nervous breakdowns I felt different. I feel different. I know now that God loves me unconditionally and every moment of every day. I am aware that it is nothing I have done but He has come to me and made a different and new me.

He is continually teaching me and so often I am slow to see the lesson but His love and His arms are continually about me.

We had a profound learning experience at our church recently and there was a question, “What do you really want to do?” My answer was, “Pray continually”.

God is answering that and showing me that He knows best. I continue to pray for those who need His help and am so grateful for the love of Jesus Christ and God and the Holy Spirit and the loving and caring way I have been treated by those at the Healing Rooms.

Gluten Intolerance | March 26

Approx. 3 weeks ago I came for prayer for a gluten intolerance that I have suffered from for 7 years. I was asked to place my hand over my stomach and during prayer I could feel a fluttering under my hand and down my legs. At home I tested it with eating a large pizza all in one go! Praise God I have since eaten all sorts of previously ‘forbidden’ gluten rich foods with absolutely ZERO SYMPTOMS. Our God is magnificent and can heal in an instant! Now I can retrain everyone who always were so kind to provide me with gluten free food. Bring out the cake!! My God has healed me!!

Gambling addiction | 14 March

God has set me free from a gambling addiction!

On Tuesday 22nd February, 2011 I went to Capital Healing rooms for prayer for Jesus Christ to free me from this addiction that I had for many years. The team prayed for me. 8 days later, on a Monday morning at home I had a strong attack to go and play the poker machines and I struggled with the decision to go and gamble. At once the Holy spirit spoke to me very loudly saying if you go and gamble you will be offending God. It touched my heart and I said I was not going to gamble any more as I don’t want to offend God. The struggle, the torment and the decision to gamble went away from me!! THANK YOU JESUS – He has set me free!! Thank you to the prayer team who prayed for me.

Neck Pain | 11 February 2011

I have had a very sore and stiff neck for many years. I believe it was first damages when I was ten when a gym teacher pushed me into a back somersault. It was made worse by working for many years on a drawing board and also doing craft. The pain and tension sometimes made sleep difficult. I could only get some temporary relief with massage. I had someone from the congregation pray for me at the Healing Waters Conference recently and the pain is completely gone. Thank you Jesus.

I came to the Healing Rooms on Tuesday and received some great answers to prayer.

I wanted someone whom I knew to pray for me, and I met one of the people who prayed for me before. I arrived later than I planned, but the Healing Rooms were open for 2 hours longer than I thought, so I received prayer that day (I didn’t even pray for this one). I felt understood without having to explain myself – the prayer team heard from God and didn’t need details.

I have been partially healed of my asthma – I was taking extra medication twice a day, and I was going to ask the doctor to increase the dose. But since Tuesday I have used it twice in three days – and only then when I got anxious, worked too hard, and lost sight of God.

I have started the process of leaving bad influences and memories of the past behind – this was a message that the prayer team had for me. I spent Wednesday morning praying about bad patterns in my family, and many memories fell into place so I could pray specifically. I felt much healthier and closer to God afterwards.

I struggle with claustrophobia and a fear of flying, however still fly if the need arises, even though I have had some traumatic experiences doing it. In late March I had to fly to Perth so had prayer before I went. Those praying asked for peace, bound claustrophobia and prayed that my son who was flying with me would notice a difference. I was a little nervous going over but so much better than usual that he commented. Coming home I was totally relaxed – a shock to him as well as me. I was able to say “…well maybe prayer works after all!!”

In February 2007 I contracted a urinary tract infection. Part of the treatment process involved a CT scan and the taking of several blood samples.

The CT scan revealed that my prostate was enlarged and one of the blood tests revealed the PSA reading as 16.4. For another medical condition I received regular hormone replacement therapy and so a higher than normal PSA reading for a man of my age (64) might be expected, but 16.4 was most unexpected. There was some concern that there may be cancer. With this news an appointment with an urologist was made.

In the meantime I made my way to Capital Healing Rooms for prayer. The prayer offered was that the prostate and the PSA reading would return to the normal size and level for a man of my age receiving HRT. It was my regular prayer, however, leading up to the specialist appointment that the Lord would return the prostate size and PSA level to that of a man of my age who is NOT receiving HRT.

A further set of blood tests was ordered by my GP for my appointment with the urologist. The urologist was nonplussed when he compared the original CT scan and PSA reading with the latest PSA reading and his “in rooms” examination of the prostate. He declared there was no point in taking a biopsy of the prostate as it was the NORMAL SIZE FOR A MAN OF MY AGE and as for the PSA reading, it was MIRACULOUSLY 1.8!!

Notwithstanding these surprising results, the urologist arranged for me to undergo a surgical procedure wherein he would examine my urinary tract to see if he could determine the cause of the original infection. He found no reason for the infection declaring all within perfectly healthy!

So it is that I make this testimony to the glory of God and thank Him for His ever ready helping hand and loving response to the prayer.

I came to the healing rooms on Monday, July 25 with pain in my belly, in my back, and unable to sleep flat in my bed due to a gallbladder full of stones.

Upon arriving I filled out a form and waited for the team to pray. When I went into the room for prayer some one had seen a vision of my gallstones being exploded and the three of them knew I was to be healed.

It took about five minutes of prayer and I felt nothing but I had come for a healing and that’s exactly what I got. All the way home I thanked God for my healing and prayed in the spirit. The next day I had eaten something with fat in it and had pain only in my back not in my belly.

In getting encouragement from another person, she said, “don’t let the enemy rob you – continue to claim your healing,” which I did. Now I have no pain and can sleep flat without worry of being attacked by pain in my belly and back.

After a visit to a medical practitioner, and tests, I was told my KIDNEYS had “shut down”. I refused to accept man’s words and immediately said, “by the stripes of Jesus I am healed and have health, healing and wholeness in the Name of Jesus”.

My CK was 1207, but over a period of a few months – I went to the healing rooms during this time, and the only medicine being the Word of God - my CK became normal, now 107. Each day I spoke to my body (especially my kidneys) and told them to function in the perfection that God created them to function. I reminded my body daily that it was the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit and the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus had set it free from the law of sin and death. I asked for prayer at the Healing Rooms for a healing of oral thrush which had persisted and worsened over two weeks. One of the team felt the thrush would disappear as I spoke out. I sensed this referred to the next Monday when I was asked to give the eulogy at my friend’s funeral. I spoke out about his faith in the love and faithfulness of God, a faith he had shared with me when I needed it most. The next day I was back on my bike, the pain gone in my mouth, my strength restored! Praise God!

A few months ago I came in for prayer for very deep shoulder pain to the point it restricted me taking off jumpers and sweat-tops. The pain was excruciating and ran deep into my body (right side). Cause unknown (maybe over exercise). After prayer that night I noticed over the next few days that the pain had diminished with the absence of pain when changing pull-overs. Within a week the pain had COMPLETELY GONE and I thank God for His healing upon me (something I’m not accustomed to). I know this is God’s healing as normally this type of injury requires physiotherapy which I was more than happy to dump this time around!

On route to my brother’s for Christmas, Dec. 2005 I felt a very painful lump on my lower gum. Pain killers eased the pain over Christmas/New Year and it subsided. However it resurfaced in April, 2006 and the dentist X-Rayed the area and got my G.P. to prescribe antibiotics to clear the infection so he could do root canal therapy on that tooth. After 3 successive trips to the dentist he was able to complete ½ the tooth but the other ½ of the tooth was too sensitive to treat and to come back in 6 months.

Prior to going back to the dentist last Monday I asked for prayer at the Healing Rooms and 2 of the ladies had identical witness that he (the dentist) wouldn’t find anything wrong with the tooth and that was exactly what happened.

Also, the apprehension that had built up about this 5th visit for the same tooth and growing expense ($600) was replaced by HIS INCREDIBLE PEACE! THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOUR AWESOME HEALING!

In September 2006 I was designated a date for major surgery (3rd hip replacement). Following this I became full of fear – couldn’t sleep – kept dwelling on what post-op complications could occur etc, etc. (Trained nurse 35 years) The Holy Spirit moved me to attend the Healing Rooms at Fyshwick for prayer.

I received prayer and was anointed with oil in the name of Jesus. The fear vanished within 15 minutes! I couldn’t get to the hospital quickly enough. My healing was miraculous. I was walking normally in 5 weeks post-op! Usually crutches are required for 9 – 10 weeks.

Some weeks ago I came out to the Healing Rooms for prayer. I had over a period of time been feeling stressed. This was getting me down in a way that I wasn’t able to concentrate. It was really worrying me. On arrival at the Healing Rooms I felt to ask for prayer for something else other than fear. I was trying to think of something that didn’t seem to be as bad as fear or stress.

I went into the room with the people who prayed and I told them my problem was FEAR and that I was stressed. The people prayed for me and I felt that God was there. It seems that He was moving me into other things to do. Time will tell. All I know is that the Lord has done something in me, and I feel different! I was so glad that I asked for the prayer I needed rather than the prayer I was tempted to say.

Just before Christmas 2006 I suddenly developed a very painful left knee. X-rays were taken which showed I had mild osteoarthritis. After several more weeks of pain I asked my Dr. to refer me for an MRI. The results revealed that I had severe cartilage damage, a tear in my meniscus cartilage and a Baker’s Cyst behind the knee. A planned trip to China for one month in May of this year was close to being cancelled because I had difficulty with walking. Then, I heard about the Healing Rooms. I came for prayer on a Monday night, but the pain seemed to get worse, so back I came the next day. By Wednesday the pain had lessened though I still walked with a limp. Several more prayer sessions and my walking is almost normal.

I praise the Lord for the healing He has done thus far and will continue to have prayer until my healing is complete! God works in His Way and in His time!!

I went away to work on a cruise ship as a dancer. I came in to the Healing Rooms just before I went away and asked for healing for my right knee, that had two knee reconstructions, and for growing strength in my Christian faith in a particularly hard area (ie. the ship). My knee was great, I had very little pain and my faith and strength in God grew.

I danced 10 shows a week and danced for God.

20th August, 2004, which is 4 years ago, I was involved in a motor vehicle accident in which I suffered soft tissue damage in my neck, shoulders and upper back.

In the following couple of months I developed a stiff neck and shoulders, accompanied by severe headaches. These escalated in frequency from once a week to having three to four a week.

My husband and I always prayed about each of these as they came; some of which were healed. I ended up at the Capital Healing Rooms seeking healing. I experienced a wonderful sense of anointing of my head during this time of prayer. In the following ten days I realised the headaches had dramatically decreased. I attended a healing seminar about four weeks later where the symptoms of all my injuries were totally healed.

Praise the Lord, He is merciful and I forget not all His benefits.

When I was 10 weeks pregnant, the ultrasound showed up an abnormality. The medical professionals were predicting that our baby would have anyone of a number of syndromes and started talking about the possibility of terminating. We were never open to that possibility and instead we asked those around us to pray for our baby. This included a visit to the Healing Rooms.

After our baby was born she was diagnosed with Beckwith-Wiederman Syndrome. The abnormality was corrected surgically, but she did not need any cuts or stitches. After a month in NICU, she came home.

Of all the syndromes predicted, this one was the one with the best outcomes and further genetic tests have shown that she has a form of it that is unlikely to be passed on or repeated. She has a fairly mild form of it and will grow out of all the other effects. Compared to other babies who have the same syndrome, she is doing incredibly well, not needing more invasive interventions due to other possible complications.

We continue to trust her to God’s hands and have already seen God use our experience to bless people whose paths we have crossed.

Praise Him for His goodness and faithfulness.

A testimony of many thanks and struggles suggest that my only hope is God. Years of alcohol abuse, my life was starting to go down fast, drinking until I dropped. I humiliated family (particularly) and friends with drunkenness and disgrace. I was involved in serious car accidents, D.U.I., committed fraud, with no concept of an addiction. The guilt was so obvious, I kept quiet having no rebuttal or excuse. No A.A. or hospital could help.

Secondly, I was going through massive court cases, one after the other, re-offended D.U.I. charges and accidents. My readings were so high that jail became most likely. The Court had sent notices from the Correctional Services to sight and the course of action was jail without doubt. I walked past a Church, went in and prayed. With compassion the Judge convicted me with a very light charge and I was free to go. Following this another 7 month Court hearing for fraud – I had taken a very substantial amount from the Gov. to buy alcohol. The dept. became very angry, called a meeting to impose a burden or claim for repayment of the dept. with interest.

I CALLED OUT HELP!!! Again jail was the course of action given for this type of offence.

I CALLED ON GOD through prayer and support of others through the Healing Rooms. After 7 months of continuous Court appearances for fraud, the 2 Gov. depts. started fighting against one another. In addition the CHARGES WERE DROPPED!! Today I am paying back the money, but walk free.

It’s been 10 months since my last drink and I now hold down a job. I AM VERY THANKFUL TO THE LORD!!

On Wednesday 6/8/08 I was having a painting job done at my home and after the painter had gone I realised that the furniture needed to be put back in its place.

Each item was heavy, even with the bookcase emptied of its books. Thursday at a ladies meeting they prayed for me as I was incredibly stiff in my back and tops of both legs and in considerable pain. It was even painful to sit.

Initially I improved but after a sleep overnight woke to be almost as stiff as the day before. As I was on the team at the Healing Rooms on the Friday I asked for prayer and now can testify that ALL STIFFNESS and PAIN in my body has COMPLETELY GONE! THANK YOU LORD and ALL PRAISE TO HIM!

For the last 3 years I have been experiencing great tiredness so much so that whenever I have undertaken even a small chore, like the weekly washing, I have had to sit down and rest. Often this rest period led to 2 or 3 hours sleep. In more recent times, I have experienced drowsiness when driving, and on two occasions actually went to sleep momentarily – but the Lord awakened me just as the car began to veer to the side of the road. By sleeping during the day meant that I had trouble sleeping at night. By being awake much of the night meant that I was tired during the day and so it went on, and on and on. I consulted my MD who diagnosed potential sleep apnoea. Last Friday (6th Aug) I awakened exhausted. It was with great effort that I drove to Fyshwick. I felt overcome with weariness and this was 10.30am! So in faith, holding onto God’s promise to heal me – His words to me of many years before – and the hope in His faithfulness I visited the Healing Rooms. Prayer was offered for healing of this ailment and related issues.

Saturday morning I arose refreshed after a good night’s sleep & shopped, did the washing, worked in the garden, dined, read and watched TV then to bed – a ‘big’ day by the last 3 year’s standards. I awoke Sunday morning without any weariness! I AM HEALED! PRAISE THE LORD FOR HIS MERCY & HIS LOVE!

On Tuesday 27/5/08 I attended the Healing Rooms Team training evening. I had woken that morning with extreme pain in both wrists. I’d taken several lots of pain medicines but there was no relief. So painful were they that I felt concerned about driving to Fyshwick for the meeting. However, I still went because I love the sense of the presence of the Lord in the Healing Rooms and thought it a good place to be.

Whilst we were watching the ‘miracles’ on the 8 min. DVD I cried out to the Lord for a miracle in my wrists. As I left to go home I was pain free in my right wrist and by the time I woke the next morning I was pain free in the left. I remain pain free still.

I thank the Lord for His healing miracle with praise in my heart.

I am on team. I felt that we should be pressing into God more for limbs to grow out to their correct length. The Lord said to me, ‘What about your short leg?’ It was injured in a road accident 34 years ago and my foot is now suffering with pain on weight bearing. I felt the Lord say to me that I needed to press in for lengthening of my own leg so that I could have authority to pray for others in this regard. The team who prayed for me did not see my very different prayer request on the form. They waited on the Lord asking Him what he wanted to do. God kept speaking to them about ‘walking in the way’ and ‘giving balance’ and ‘bringing things into balance’ and ‘I’m going to do a new thing. Be expectant.’ When they prayed I felt the power of God. I still feel it now. The leg bone grew part of the way as they prayed. I believe that the bone will continue to grow until it is the same length as the other leg. The pain in my foot was bad this morning when I walked from the car. Now when I tested it there is now pain at all! Thank you, God. Jill 2/5/08

I am overdue for a hip replacement operation for my right hip. I also have osteoporosis which has caused curvature of my spine. This puts extensive strain on the two main muscles at the back of the neck that hold the head upright resulting in considerable pain on the back of my head in the area of these two muscles. Since May 2006, I have had monthly physiotherapy on the right hip and also on the neck muscles to help alleviate this pain which typically can start and continue for two weeks or more.

On the evening of 11th February 2008 I had healing prayer for my right hip. Approximately twenty five minutes later I realised that the considerable pain that I had experienced up the back of my head for the past two weeks HAD GONE. This pain has not returned. Praise God and a big “thank you” to the team who prayed for me.

I attended the Healing Rooms Training in February 2008. Whilst at the training I was part of a ‘demonstration’ on the process of praying for the sick. In December 2007 I had a fall and injured my wrist, fingers and thumb and was in pain and still had swelling around my wrist.

After prayer, the swelling and pain have gone from my wrist, as has the bruising to my finger. The tenderness in the thumb area is still there but I am believing that will also move on! PRAISE GOD!

In May 2007 I went for a stress test for my heart and was unable to complete the test because of chest pains. It was suggested that I should have a different, more revealing test, a stress echocardiogram, so that the cause of the chest pains could be discovered. (I was given medication to keep my heart from being stressed.) The next 4 months were very stressful with my daughter & husband both seriously ill and requiring surgery. Throughout this time I attended the Healing Rooms asking for prayer for myself and for them. (Twice I had to postpone my stress test.)

Amazingly the words that were given to me from the prayer team were more powerful than medicine. Each time I went for prayer I was met by Jesus. Each time, often in a different way, once even while in the waiting room, I was touched by His Spirit.

When the day finally arrived for the stress test, I was quite unwell with a viral infection but I had been to the Healing Rooms for prayer just the day before asking that God would take care of me during the test, that the result would be clear! The 2 ladies who prayed both received the same word from the Lord for me:

“Rely on me. Trust in me. Don’t be anxious about anything.” Phil 4:6(Anxiety had been my constant companion most of my life for several reasons and this Scripture had also been given to me on a previous visit. One of the prayer team said that she had heard the word so loudly that it was as if God had a megaphone and He was shouting to me). We all laughed! They prayed specifically that there would be no blockages in any arteries or my heart. So the next morning, in spite of feeling unwell, I went for the test. It was incredible how peaceful I felt. I pushed myself hard, normally something I wouldn’t have done, trusting God all the time, trusting in the healing presence of Jesus as I had never done before. It was a new experience for me.

As the cardiologist proceeded with the test (which uses an ultrasound to discover any blockages in the arteries) she proclaimed that there was nothing that she could see at all – that everything was normal!

The following day I visited my GP who found that my blood pressure was normal and it was in fact the BEST it had been in the last 5 years.

I praise God for this healing touch in my life, for removing from me anxiety about my heart and for the incredible works of healing that He does through the team of available intercessors in the Healing Rooms.

Relationship healed 23 August 2010

I have been coming to the Healing Rooms for a number of years. During this time my relationship with my parents has healed a lot. It used to be very difficult with them but now is much better. There has been much prayer regarding my parents over the years.

As well I have experienced healing from spiritual abuse which happened in the 1980’s, I was really traumatised by that but have received healing by coming to the Healing Rooms.

In addition my foot was healed. I found it very hard to brake while driving my car, but now I can do it much better. The Lord has also brought healing to me in regards to how I get on with other people by coming to the Healing Rooms over the years.

In 2007 I was diagnosed with 50% blockage in my right carotid artery. After prayer at the Healing Rooms I was rechecked in 2010 and it had disappeared. There was no blockage, which the doctor said was practically unheard of.

Praise God, Jesus healed me! Thank you for the one prayer session by the Healing Rooms Team that facilitated this miracle.

Testimony Archive 2006

Over several years I have suffered a painful neck and right arm, due to calcification of my vertebrae.

On Sunday 27/08/06 a member from Capital Healing Rooms, visiting my Church – Southcoast Christian Centre - prayed over me. Upon leaving the church I felt an extraordinary sensation. The pain in my neck and right arm had gone and I could move both with little restriction. GOD IS GOOD!! Upon giving thanks and glory to God, I felt a sensation of peace and joy which is still with me today.

It is now some 3 weeks since God healed me. There is now still some residual but minor pain. But I do have full and unrestricted movement of my neck and arm. I continue to give God the praise and the glory for my healing.

I had to go to hospital on Monday 5th June 2006. I had very high temperatures and couldn’t walk because the virus had attacked my joints. The hospital doctors thought I had pneumonia but weren’t sure until the blood tests came back in 2 weeks so I had to take antibiotics just in case.

I was off school for the whole week and felt a bit better with the temperatures, but I still couldn’t walk. I had to crawl everywhere. On Friday, 9th June, my Mum took me to the Healing Rooms. She had to drive me to the top doors because I couldn’t walk up the stairs. I crawled in. The team prayed for me and put oil on my head. After the prayers I was told to stand up – I was wobbly but took some steps. I still had pain, but they encouraged me to keep walking and as I did the pain was going. My legs were a bit stiff but I walked out of there and down the stairs. I was SO EXCITED that I called my Dad from the car park and went to school to show all my friends I could walk and that I was healed.

When the blood tests came back the Dr. said with the type of pneumonia I had I could’ve been in intensive care, but he was told that I got healed at the Healing Rooms by Jesus and he was excited and took some Healing Rooms cards.

I was truly touched by the Lord at the Women’s Conference 4 - 5th August 2006. I was released in the Joy of the Lord like never before and my body was healed of physical pain. My back often hurts after sitting for a long period, but this time I have had no pain at all and my back felt like new on Sunday morning.

I had chronic knee pain and was thinking I needed an operation. I had prayer here at the Healing Rooms and they recovered 50%. I was down in Canberra (from Cairns) 6 months later and had more prayer. They are now totally better! Before this I could hardly walk and was in much pain. Now…….NO PAIN!

Ever since I can remember I have had freezing cold hands and feet and Canberra winter has been a challenge for me (here permanently since 1973).

Last year I discovered I was healed of Carpel Tunnel Syndrome but still experienced this unusual coldness in my extremities so I prayed and asked the Lord about it. He reminded me that I had been diagnosed by a doctor many years before and had Raynaud’s Disease.

As a member of the Capital Healing Rooms Prayer Team I began to notice in the latter part of last winter that I was not reacting to the cold as previously. This winter has seen a remarkable change as my hands quickly warm during the day. I have only worn my overcoat several times and no heater on in my bedroom overnight even when sub zero temperatures. For the past few weeks I have only had my autumn doona on my bed.

I want to give the LORD JESUS praise and all the glory for this wonderful healing!!

I went to the Healing Rooms in Canberra in Jan ’06. On entering the prayer room I was asked if I liked strawberries (the team had received prior to me entering the room a picture of strawberries from the Lord). My answer was ‘no’, but my dad really likes them. Then I remembered that over the last few months I had tried strawberry milkshakes and ice-cream. Before my dad was a Christian he had done things and I promised myself I’d never be like him. The team also got from the Holy Spirit the need to pray for me regarding the “Father Heart of God”. It kind of made sense so we went with it. My dad and I are now organising reconciliation meetings to happen here at the church I attend with the leadership at my dad’s request. Praise God!

For approximately 10 years(+) I had suffered from intense pain in both my shoulders and upper arms. This pain was debilitating to the point that I could not raise my arms above my head for more than a few moments.

On Saturday 15th July 2006 during a training session for “Healing Rooms” I went to the front as part of a ‘demonstration’ at the training – it was asked if someone was in pain would they come and have prayer for healing.

Being in pain I was only too willing to be the ‘subject’ of prayer – also safe in the knowledge that I had told God that morning that I really needed healing.

As I was prayed for the pain VANISHED and I felt a wonderful presence of God’s Holy Ghost. I thank God for this healing which is as sure today as it was the day I was prayed for!

Two weeks before visiting the Healing Rooms I developed a very bad stomach complaint, constipation and a sharp stabbing pain. There was “relief” with medication after 2 days, however, immediately I developed pain in the neck and shoulder and chest. Over the next week it moved from around left side and ended up residing in the right shoulder and neck making the area weak and a real problem.

Through friends and church I had heard about the Healing Rooms but this was my first chance to go. The team brought words to me and prayed over me. When they had finished the pain was still there until I lifted my arm and I felt it rise up and leave me and there hasn’t been pain since. Praise the Lord!!

I have had a couple of little twinges, but whenever I invoked the Lord’s name and His promise of answered prayer and healing the twinges went away!

At the Healing Conference on Saturday night, 1st April, I received prayer for release of back pain and fibromyalgia. I found myself on my hands and knees forgiving my ex-husband very specifically. As each memory surfaced I was aware of God removing the effects from me. Then, as the person praying for me took authority over fibro myalgia I felt something lift off my body.

I was aware of a heaviness and slight physical pain around my heart. The lady praying for me took authority over grief. There was a little snap inside of me and immediate relief.

That night I was very uncomfortable. All night my legs and feet kept cramping and I ached from head to toe. I felt as if I had a bad dose of the flu, a sinus headache and nausea. However over the next two days the symptoms gradually subsided.

Five days later I went to the specialist. He was very surprised that I didn’t react when he pressed the points on my body that had been very sore.

Four weeks later, I can say that my healing is continuing. It has been gradual but progressive. My energy levels are returning and each day I am getting stronger physically. And the healing to my emotions is very real.

On Friday night, 31/3/06, at the Healing Conference, a Healing Team member (and a friend of mine) laid her hand on my back. My back felt warm and as she prayed I knew there had been a significant strengthening of my back. Thank you God!!

Also, last week I found my Mother had been healed of lymphoma – Praise God! My Mum’s name had been on the Intercessor’s board at the Healing Rooms for 3 months. I know God heard the prayers. I will be telling Mum about this and pray she comes to know the Lord soon.

On Thursday, 30th March at the staff meeting with Bob Brasset at the Healing Rooms, Bob asked “who wanted to be healed”. No one moved so I hopped up and took out my hearing aids. He asked about my history of deafness – I had swum in a public pool when I was about 7yrs old and got an infection in my ears. I was deaf for 3 months, but my mother kept on praying and I got my hearing back, though impaired.

Bob put his fingers in my ears and prayed for the spirit of deafness to come out. The pain was excruciating! BUT it came out and now I can HEAR CLEARLY. I have no need for my hearing aids anymore! PRAISE GOD – He is SOOOO GOOD!!

My right knee had degenerated to the extent of needing a replacement in the very near future. The pain this caused was sometimes excruciating, especially when walking up or down stairs, driving the car or standing for any length of time.

I have had prayer in my Church fellowship, but after the prayer on Friday 31st March, at the Healing Conference, my knee gave no more pain. I jumped and ran that evening for the first time in many months. I slept peacefully all night without medication. I believe I had been taught to accept my healing and I received it in the Name of Jesus!

I have suffered most of my life with poor self esteem, also fears relating to being punished for “doing the wrong thing”. I also have carried over the past several years wounds and scars from people who have said I “must”, “should” or “ought” to do, and I could not do what was required so I felt guilty and ashamed.

On 2nd April I was prayed for and as I received prayer I felt all this “junk” that I had been carrying and was weighing me down lift off me. Now I feel so light and joyful – Praise the Lord!

In early August my friend had her gall bladder removed. Unfortunately she did not begin to feel better, and in fact, had to be admitted to hospital with severe pain and a high temperature. She was then diagnosed with liver cancer – a particularly rare type which could not be operated on. Many people were praying for her and I came to the Healing Rooms to ask them to pray for her she was fearful, despite knowing the presence of the Lord. She had many scans and tests which were sent to the liver unit at Prince Alfred hospital in Sydney.

Then God began to change things around. She was told that the specialist could operate to remove three quarters of the liver which would give her about one to two years (instead of two to three months) There was a danger of post operative bleeding which could be fatal. Our prayers increased for her protection from infection and bleeding, for the skill of the surgeons and the nursing staff. One prayer was that the surgeons would say whilst operating that what they saw was not what they expected. (I assumed this meant that the tumour was smaller or more easily removed) On the day of the operation I was at the Healing Rooms at about the time of the operation and we prayed very strongly for my friend. God showed us my friend lying in an ordinary hospital bed, rather than an intensive care bed. My first news of the operation was that only one eighth of the liver had been removed, and that she had no other complications. Four days after the operation I received the amazing news that when the surgeon had come to see her, he said, ‘I have two words for you – NO CANCER!!!’ He was amazed because he was convinced that the tumour had every sign of being a malignant cancer. Praise God! He changed my friend’s life around from having inoperable liver cancer with a few months left to live to having NO CANCER AT ALL! My friend held onto the prayer that God could change her situation. It is so wonderful that God can answer our prayers with MORE than we could ask or imagine. We continue to pray for complete recovery from surgery and her return to a fruitful and happy life with us.

May I extend a heart felt “Thank You” to the team for the reality of the Healing Rooms. Before my last visit I was really struggling, this time with physical illness that had no supposed cause according to doctors. The team that prayed with me sensed a deep oppressive fear of going forward and of being useful again in the Kingdom. I had prayed for revelation before coming, for many weeks. I’d sought the Lord in every way I knew how but my efforts were fruitless it seemed. After coming to the Healing Rooms I knew something had changed. I didn’t feel on top of the world but I knew Jesus had done something. It must have been a deep work because I sobbed in my mother’s arms when I got home from work – that in itself is a breakthrough!

Over the next couple of days the heaviness I had felt for months was gone and I had a renewed passion for the new thing the Lord was leading me into, whereas before I procrastinated and made excuses, even feeling intimidated about pursuing something new.

When I opened the parcel the Healing Rooms sent to me today, I again felt the compassion & love and sensitivity that I feel when I’m at the Healing Rooms, it just poured out over me.

I want to acknowledge the healing I received in answer to prayer just before my husband & I left on our overseas holiday. We were going on a walk across England – a distance of 307kms, and also a walk in Spain. A week before we left, I suffered from a shin splint. SO I went to the Healing Rooms for prayer with one of the teams.

My time consisted of a confession time but also a wonderful time of being ministered to & prayed for by a lovely group of ladies. After that I was aware of less pain in my leg. My husband and I headed on our journey and I held onto the belief that my healing had been accomplished and that I would be completely able to do all the walking as planned.

That is exactly what happened! I didn’t have a hint of trouble with my shin all the time I walked in England or in Spain and not only was this an amazing testimony to the Healing power of God, but it also encouraged me to ask for prayer and to believe I would be healed of a threatening throat infection. The next day NO SORE THROAT!!! (We were blessed to have one of your healing team members walking with us in Spain, and this member also prayed for a good night’s sleep for me so effectively that I slept through a night of barking dogs which kept others awake!! )

We really were able to see the Lord’s hand on us as others prayed & along the way I have been able to share my testimony with others. Thank you all so much for your compassion & obedience in carrying out the work the lord has given you.

_______________________________________________________________________________For some years I was not able to fully tolerate dairy products as a result of having Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The Lord healed me of the CFS but I still was unable to enjoy dairy products.

At a healing service during February a large number of people were asked to place their hands on the parts of their body that needed healing. I felt quite strongly what I was to pray for and to receive the healing that Jesus had died for me to have. I then thanked Him for what He had done for me.

As an act of faith I knew I had to drink cows milk and eat some cheese. Praise the Lord I have been able to enjoy dairy products since and will continue to do so. Thank you Jesus for all you are and have done. You are the Great Physician!!

I had the icy cold feeling of anxiety when I heard that I had an invasive malignant melanoma. It was said that it could have formed because of grief stress with the sudden death of my husband, coupled with 10 years of immunosuppressant treatment for another illness. However, I did have God’s promise of care and love, so I went to the Healing Rooms.

The prayer team prayed for the site of the cancer, the lymph glands, my immune system, my mind and my teenage children. I then felt God’s Peace which stayed with me during surgery and the following weeks until the histology and biopsy tests were available. During that time I noticed that my normal springtime allergies were gone and I felt my immune system was ‘in balance’.

Praise to our Lord, the test results indicated that all traces of the malignant cancer had been removed and did not spread into my lymph system!

Fibroid 5 November 2009

To the Capital Healing rooms team, well it has been just over one week since my surgery and I am getting better. I thank God that he brought healing to me. From thinking that we might not be able to have kids to at least being able to try for kids is great, more than great!

It has been about 9 months since the pain and abnormal bleeding started and hopefully I won’t have that anymore. When I first went to the specialist I was put on hormones to see if it would control the fibroid. After 3 months I started having severe pain and bleeding 24/7 again. I went back to the specialist who said that if the fibroid had grown that I would have to have it out and there was a high possibility of damaging the uterus, meaning that I probably couldn’t have my own kids. We started to contact other surgeons to get another opinion. It was at this point where I came back to the healing rooms.

I was sitting and praying with the prayer team in the healing rooms when my head started to get really heavy. I didn’t know what was happening. All I knew was that I couldn’t lift my head. I tried to lift it but I could feel God’s hand on the back of head and him saying“stay.....” That night I slept so well.

After further tests and no reduction in symptoms, the specialist said we should go in for exploratory surgery to see what’s happening. We were all praying that the by the time the specialist got there it would all be gone. It was on the same day that I also got a phone call from a specialist in Sydney (referred on to from another specialist in Canberra) who said I should come to see her and book in for the operation. We decided to go ahead with the exploratory surgery in Canberra to find out at least what the issue was and if it was easy to do, the specialist could fix it here. It was found that I had endometriosis and that my fibroid was taking up most of my uterus and that it was attached to uterus wall between my fallopian tubes. The specialist said Canberra did not have the right surgery tools to remove the fibroid here without potentially damaging the uterus and said I should go to Sydney.

It was then I went to Sydney. I saw the specialist on a Thursday, now 2 weeks a week ago and had the operation tentatively booked in for Friday. She has been away since she had last spoken to me and once she found out I had endometriosis she said that she would need another specialist to assist her and that she couldn’t do the operation on the Friday. However she could do it the following week. I prayed....she then said, well actually let me see if I can fit you in today. She rang the other specialist who was busy at the time and so she left a message. I kept praying....they then had contacted the hospital to see if they had an available bed. We got the phone call back to say they one of the other specialist patients had cancelled due to sickness and there was room for me. We found a bed and before I knew we were driving to the hospital. Again another huge blessing!

So at 6:30pm October 22nd, I was on the operating table. Woke up around 10:00pm and was moved to my room. My husband had to work in Canberra on the Thursday so he got a bus that night, and was there to greet me with my mum after the surgery. The specialist said it was a text book surgery for her and that it went really well. No one would even know that she had removed the fibroid from my uterus and that she had removed the endometriosis easily too. Even though it was extensive it was very superficial.

So the surgery went really well and I was recovering very well and could go home Friday night. We decided to stay one more night in hospital on recommendation from the specialist just because how tender it would be driving in the car back to Canberra.

Again another blessing, as come Saturday morning I was not well. My husband and mum walked in to find me pale, vomiting, having trouble breathing and in pain. After thinking that I was possibly having a heart attack I was being tested for lots of things. After given some pain killers through my drip I was stabilised. In the end they thought that I had reflux. I recovered and was able to go home on Sunday.

After tests this last week, my GP thinks that my medication after the operation for some reason made a spot on my liver right under my sternum which was why I had the pain. A liver specialist said at this point it would heal and that there was nothing to worry about. Another blessing!

At several points along the way I have been blessed on this trial. When put through this it is hard to stay focused on God and know that he has me in his hands. But over the journey God directed and showed me the way. I think a really important lesson for me is to trust God with everything. I hope I remember this, but also the healing and blessing he has brought throughout this trial.

So thank you God, but also thank you to all the people who dedicated their time to praying for me. The support and encouragement through prayers, verses, anointing in oil have helped me stay in tune with God.
